Dr. Jose R. Reyes, Jr., is an Interventional Pain Specialist that has been in private practice since 1995. Dr. Reyes is fluent in Spanish and proud of his Cuban heritage.
About Dr. Reyes
Dr. Reyes graduated from Universidad Monterrey in Mexico and transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Austin at Brackenridge where he completed an internship in Pediatrics. He then completed his first residency in Anesthesia at Baylor College of Medicine and second residency at Washington University specializing in Anesthesia and Pain Management.
His father was the founder of Pasadena Pain Management Consultants where Dr. Reyes served as Medical Director from 1995 until 2012. He has also served as a Staff Anesthesiologist at several hospitals and surgery centers over the past 19 years.
Dr. Reyes takes great pride in his patient care and treats each and every patient as though they are a family member. He specializes in a broad range of interventional treatments from injections to pain pumps to spinal cord stimulators. His interventional approach allows patients to regain control of their daily lives and live without pain.
He is the recipient of the Pediatric Resident of the Year in 1991 at Brackenridge in Austin and the Bent Needle Award of Outstanding Children’s Hospital of Obstetric Anesthesia in 1992 at the Baylor College of Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Association, Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, and North American Neuromodulation Society.
